Solar Electricity Systems Branching out

24/04/2012 11:32

Solar Electricity Systems have seen immense success recently and we feel the reason behind that is the fact that we are ever changing and seizing new opportunities.  We have teamed up with Italian firm Vokera to supply thermal panels used to heat water.

This move should see even more jobs  being created in our Glasgow branch which has seen great success over the last two years.  Here's hoping for much more!

“Over the past two to three years, there has been a phenomenal increase in the public’s awareness of generating their own power,” Kirkland said. “Renewable energy to heat water is a natural progression in a market where customers are looking to become self-sufficient"

Feed in Tariffs

18/04/2012 12:38

What is a feed-in tariff?

Feed-in Tariffs are monies paid back to people who take part in creating their own ‘Green Electricity’ (renewable energy).

The tariffs have been introduced by the Government to help increase the level of renewable energy in the UK towards our legally binding target of 15% of total energy from renewables by 2020 (up from under 2% in 2009).

How do the Feed-In Tariffs help?

The Tariffs give three financial benefits:
• A payment for all the electricity you produce, even the energy you use yourself.
• Additional bonus payments for electricity you export (give back to) the national grid.
• A reduction on your standard electricity bill, as you will be using electricity you have produced yourself.

Who are Feed-in Tariffs for?

The Feed-in Tariffs are for any household, business, landlord or even an organisation like a school or a charity who take part in producing renewable energy.

Going Green

13/03/2012 12:12

Ok so we've all thought about making our homes more 'eco friendly but, do we really know what that means?

We've tried to turn all the lights off, put on an extra jumper instead of the heating and even resorted to double dipping the teabag, but what have we actually achieved, other than weak tea?

Well, that's where solar panels come in.....the  solar panels  can help you secure your energy future by designing and installing Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems (Solar Panels), which generate clean and efficient electricity.  They work in all weathers, so it doesn't need to be sunny (which if you live in Glasgow is lucky) and they can be fitted to old or new properties.
